More Retro Kiddies

Every once and awhile some kids sneak onto my blog. Usually as an addition to a dog session. LOL. Here are a couple of shots I took of my girlfriend’s beautiful kids. We had a great time doing family shots and of course I am very into the retro vintage thing. So here just a couple of fun shots we took. ICE CREAM!!

Lovable Lola

I have stopped booking Montreal area sessions but found a way to fit this one in. This is Lola. Isn’t she lovely? She’s less than a year old and sooooooo sweet. She’s smaller than other Goldens I have known and very calm for such a young girl. Love that! My step-dad’s Golden Molly is HUGE and quite rambunctious (but I love her to pieces anyway). We went to a beautiful nearby park for a mini-session before the rain came down. The leaves were so green it was incredible.

Love them Bouvs

Last weekend I did a big dog photography session in Knowlton, Quebec to build my commercial stock-photo bank. My great friend Leah played agent and lined up so many castings that when I received the initial list I went into shock and giddy-hysterics. We had to edit it down quite a bit, and I still photographed 14 dogs that day! I have a few shots of Leah assisting me, lying on the ground bribing dogs with peanut butter. Ah it’s a glamourous life, eh? But I couldn’t have done it without her. If I weren’t moving to PEI I would seriously get her to work with me. SERIOUSLY! It was Leah who first introduced me to the very fabulous Bouviers. In the photo below are Charlotte, Boaz & Blixem. I have to say that I really love these dogs. They are very special to me. Maybe I’ll get me one some day! Thank you Leah!

Beautiful Brilea

Imagine a big, sleek, beautiful 17-month-old Great Dane running full extension through a pasture. It’s an incredible sight to see. Fabulously smooth, fluid movement. It was so beautiful to see until of course she turned and ran toward me! LOL. Sometimes I have to wait it out with a younger dog. I mean take a dog to a big open space and take the leash off, they’re not too interested in doing a sit-stay. So I wait and often the owners are amazed at how the dogs do end up cooperating after a little bit of patience on our part. Brilea was a timid rescue dog with a taste for things like remotes, phones and computers until her new owner adopted a boxer pup. Somehow that changed Brilea and now she’s golden. Good girl!
