New website for the SPCA Monteregie

Over a year ago the good people at the SPCA Monteregie saw photos of one of their adopted pups on my blog and left a kind comment for me. This opened up the door to new friendships and a new website donation.

Since then, I have been wanting to redesign the site but haven’t had the time. Websites need constant updating and should really be redesigned every 2 years, so when you offer to donate something like a website, it is on-going. So even if it is a gift, as a designer I always have to put my best forward because my name is on it. I can’t throw something together with a ‘anything-is-better-than-nothing’ approach.

So I am soft-launching the new SPCA Monteregie website. Still some IE6 bugs to work out.

On behalf of web developers everywhere, if you are still using Internet Explorer 6, I beg you to upgrade to IE7 or IE8. The hacks necessary to keep a site working in the old IE6 are hell. LOL. Please upgrade!

Darcy

This is Darcy; a Catahoula/Lab mix. I had never heard of a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog… but I like em! And of course she’s a lab mix so she’s awesome, right? Her owners got her at the Catahoula Rescue near Ottawa and she is such a sweetheart! Named her after Irish/Canadian politician, journalist, poet, historian and father of confederation D’Arcy McGee, as well as Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice. Great name! Love it! Okay so I now officially want a puppy.
